Hi,

Do anyone know it it is possible to use on-prem Exchange server for sending mail in D365 Marketing Customer Journey? Or is all traffic going trough Microsoft servers?

Thanks!

RE: Use on-prem Exchange servers in D365 Marketing

    Hi OHHq,

This is the only way to set the sender address with a customized one:

(+) Set User Default settings - Dynamics 365 Marketing Forum Community Forum

Since there are email delivery systems that are specifically designed for delivering large volumes of emails and Exchange is in NO WAY meant for that. When the email sever gets blacklisted, your customer's emails will never be delivered, also their own personal emails sent through Outlook.

You can request a dedicated IP address if for any reasons they do not want to share the sender IP with any other Dynamics Marketing customer, as documented here:

Dedicated vs shared IPs for email delivery (Dynamics 365 Marketing) | Microsoft Docs
