Reopen Closed Quote

Is there a tool or routine that can be used to reopen a closed quote in GP9? Someone here mistakenly closed about 50 quotes, and we're looking for a way to reopen them, instead of reentering all of them and reissuing them to our customers.

If there is no tool, I'm sure it can be done on the tables, but I'd like to avoid that if at all possibly.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Jeremy

    Jeremy,

When you say 'closed quotes' - do you mean they voided quotes in Sales Order Processing?  If so, it would probably be faster and easier to use the Copy feature to recreate them, they will just need new numbers...but you could just add an A or something at the end of the original number.  If you mean something else, can you please give some more detail?

    Victoria,

Sorry, that was the phrase used by our Customer Svc Manger. What they did was cancel each line, and remove the prices. They then had Accounting run the Remove Completed Document routine to move them to History.

When I look at one of these quotes via Inquiry, there is no copy button. Am I looking in the wrong place?

    Thank you for your assistance,

    -Jeremy

    Hi Jeremy,

The Copy button is on the Sales Transaction Entry window - when you go to create a new quote, you will have the opportunity to copy from a previous one.

    Hi Jeremy,

I beleive that you are referencing Contracts or Service Calls from the Field Service module. If the Quotes were moved to history there would not be a way to get them back as they move from the SVC00600 table to the SVC30600 tables. There is not a utility in GP that allows you to move them out of the History tables.

    I hope this helps.

Please post back if we can be of further assistance.

    Victoria,

Thank you so much. That is exactly what I was looking for.
