Unable to Access System Settings Under Administration after Upgrade from 2013 to 2015 On premise

I have upgraded my org from 2013 to 2015 its was DB upgrade when I try to access System setting I get a generic error. it seems that its some thing related to language pack I check CRM 2013 org language settings  2 languages are shown but in CRM 2015 I cant see them .but in 2013 they are in disabled state .

    Try with installing those 2 language pack in crm 2015 , that may fix this issue.  IF you had your language set other than base org Language and user language pack is not installed , system still tries to get the user language to load the UI .

    How about creating test organization in the same crm deployment and comparing the system settigns in the data base between test org and upgraded org?  That may provide some information on the issue to fix it.

    hi,

    I had the same error today.
    I found out that the defaultEmailSettings are not migrated correctly from 2011 --> 2013 (and then also 2013-->2015-->2016).

    when you open the SystemSettings after migration you will see unter the "email"-Tab some blank picklists.

    this is because the Column DefaultEmailSettings of table OrganizationBase is NULL.


    if you leave these Fields blank and just press OK then the DefaultEmailSetting is saved with wrong values:

    see this:

	<OutgoingEmailDeliveryMethod>null</OutgoingEmailDeliveryMethod>

    When you open then the settings again, the system tries to parse null to int (which is raising your exception)

    the correct value should look like

    <EmailSettings>
	<IncomingEmailDeliveryMethod>1</IncomingEmailDeliveryMethod>
	<OutgoingEmailDeliveryMethod>1</OutgoingEmailDeliveryMethod>
	<ACTDeliveryMethod>0</ACTDeliveryMethod>
</EmailSettings>

    so all you have to do is fixing this value in the database to correct values:

    update organizationbase set DefaultEmailSettings = '<EmailSettings><IncomingEmailDeliveryMethod>1</IncomingEmailDeliveryMethod><OutgoingEmailDeliveryMethod>1</OutgoingEmailDeliveryMethod><ACTDeliveryMethod>0</ACTDeliveryMethod></EmailSettings>'


    that's it.
