Today July 27 2018, all of our NAV users reported that NAV is not working. After I checked, I found that NAV RTC shows the logo then it disappears before it connects to the server. I also noticed that in the task manager, it shows a green leaf sign next to NAV. I researched the issue and found that Windows 10 has a new update that suspends the applications which it think they are idle to preserve power.
I fixed the issue by changing the computer power settings from balanced to high performance and after few restarts, NAV finally worked. However, few computers keep acting up and we have to restart them again.
Any help on fixing this issue will be much appreciated. Note that we have NAV 2017 on premise
