Complain- CRM 4 and Windows 8.1

(First of all: sorry for my english)

I am very disappointed and angry!

In 2007 I chose CRM Dynamics4 to develop my own business solution, because I thought (and was told) Microsoft would offer long term suport and compatibility.

I developped many "personalization" of Entities and it worked just great until I bought a new laptop running Windows 8 and discovered (too late) several problems of compatibility with CRM4.

Going through the forum I see that no Rollup is planned to fix this problems???

We are talking here of the same company that develops both Windows 8 and CRM Dynamics!

I found it inacceptable.

How can Microsoft justify ths decision to drop support so quickly?

The investment in 2007 was 25000 € and it would cost me the same to have the personnalisation, workflows, talend routines etc. rewritten if I want to upgrade to CRM online.

My small business can't afford it.

Am I alone to ask for a rollup?

Thanks for listening.

    Hi Guido,

    Thanks for your answer.

I understand that seven years is considered a long time but for an initial investment of 25000€ it gives a cost of 3500€ /year, which is far too expensive for that kind of solution.

CRM was  designed also for small business and they can't afford updates every 3 years.

    I have been ill-advised.

    Anyway...

My main problem is a command button which has dissapeared. This button allows to generate a CRM reports directly from records of personnalized entities.

I will manage the problem with an old desktop running XP.

It is just a hassle not to be able to use my laptop.

    I will try your suggestion.

    Thanks for helping.
