More than one price group for a customer

Hello,

As a trainee consultant I am given a variety of user stories to try and solution. I am thinking I already know the answer to this one but would appreciate confirmation:

  • What are the non-system option for addressing selling the same product to the same customer at different prices (by region)

My thinking is that because you cannot link more than one price group to a customer, you would create your different price groups (per region) and just select the desired one on the sales order? If you need more than one price group per client it already implies that the default will not always be the applicable group.

Am I on the right track?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Nicky

You can achieve this requirement by enabling storage dimensions for sales prices. Further you can create trade agreement journals with multiple lines by storage dimensions example site 1-sales price XXX for site 2-sales price YYY.

Navigation for enabling: Product information management>dimension variant groups>storage dimension groups.

    Hope this will help you.

    Thanks,

    Prem

I'm not an expert on the subject, I don't usually comment on these kinds of questions but it sounds like you can do what you want. by using a combination of AX's standard customer price groups and trade agreement pricing,

You can find examples if you search "Regional Trade Agreement".

    Hi Nicky,

If you deliver from different sites/warehouses per region, you can use the suggestion from Prem. Otherwise, you can indeed create multiple price groups and consider a small customization to automatically populate the correct price group with help of a new setup table.

Another alternative is creating multiple customers (per region) and setup an invoice account to have all open invoices and customer transactions registered on one single debtor account. Per region customer, you can link another price group.
