if a contact does not click the double opt in confirmation email, the field that he previously set in the marketing page is anyway changed.
Is this a correct behavior?

Hi Partner,
Contact information is not stored until after the customer confirms the opt-in via email. However, it only applies to "Consent given" field.
If the contact updates other fields such as first name or email address, these fields will get changed without clicking the confirmation button.
DOI is used for asking contacts who sign up for a new subscription list, or who choose to increase their level of data-protection consent.
