Hello,
We have been experiencing an issue with our CRM 2011 on-premise installation where certain Users' Outlook client sychronisations are causing Contacts be be continuously updated.
It doesnt affect every User, and it doesn't effect every Contact. The only similarity I can see is that it applies to Contacts that the given User owns.
The updates themselves are to the fullname, and a custom field, however there is no actual change in the value.
The only visibility we see if from massively inflated audit logs, which is an annoyance more than anything.
Our Users need the Outlook connectivity, so removing the add-on or the synchronisation capability is not an option.
Thanks in advance :)

I have the same question (0)Hello Kitten,
If the issue is with specific user than check if they have their outlook connect to Android or Apple phone. Ask the certain users to disable the Outlook sync with their Cell phone.
Then check if the duplicates are occurring. The Android or Apple phone changes the CRM link state of the contact as the coding of these IOS are different than Microsoft. This Sync of cell phone will continuously duplicate the contacts.
