Please Help??? Fixed assets not seen in the GL

Hello, I entered some fixed assets in a new company but when I went to post to GL it's telling me there is not records to be posted. I have done the following:

Ran checklinks

I 'm able to see the fixed assets in the FA00100 table but not the FA00902 table.

Is there any suggestions on how to update this? Is there a way to delete the assets and reenter?

Maybe you just need to run the GL Posting routine, in Fixed Assets. Or are you saying that the GL Posting is what is telling you there are no records to be posted?

The GL Posting window can be opened by going to Microsoft Dynamics GP >> Tools >> Routines >> Fixed Assets >> GL Posting.

Yes, that's what I'm trying to do. It tells me there are no records to be posted.

I wonder if it has to do with the periods you are selecting, when setting up your posting. Try using 0000-000 as the starting period, and then 2015-012 as the ending period (assuming 12/2015 is the last period of your calendar).

Let me know if that works!

I'm sorry maybe I didnt explain correctly. As soon as I go to Tools/routines/fixed assets/gl posting I get the error message:

"There are no records to be posted to General Ledger for Book Id"

It doesnt give me the chance to to enter in a period. Hope this explains it better.

Can anyone give me a suggestion to clear this error message?

That makes me think your book or possibly even your module as a whole isn't set up correctly. Have you entered assets in this company before, or are these the very first assets?

Was Fixed Assets recently installed or configured?

You noted that there is nothing in the FA00902 table - that suggests the book details are not there.

If you go to the Asset Card in GP and use the Go To button on the top right, is there a tick next to Book? If not, the book information has not gone in and that is the problem.
