Work order tracking on the customer portal

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

I would like to be able to display some basic work order information on my customer portal so that my customers can track any cases and related work orders they may have open.

After reading around I'm getting the impression this cannot be done using the Customer Self Service Portal, but can be done using the Field Services/PSA portal.

Is there a way to surface this information on the customer portal or is this not possible? If it is possible how would I go about doing so? Is it a template change to the cases web template? As in, could I query this information using a web snippet that I include in the current template? Or is it simply a case of I need to use one of the other portals? Of course I imagine it is not that simple, but here is hoping!!

Anyway, if anyone can provide me with an answer and/or point me in the right direction for achieving this it would be very much appreciated.

Regards,

Phil B
