Greetings,

I am having issues running macros on a new POS station I am setting up. I can record the macro just fine, but when I go the play it using a custom button, nothing happens, and the macro record button is disabled, requiring Store Operations POS to restart before getting it to work again.

Currently running Microsoft Dynamics RMS 2.0 on Windows 7 with UAC disabled.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Because Macros can be exploited, the Windows security is and will continue to block any attempt to use the macro functionality it isn't an RMS issue. Ed's response above is spot on accurate. RMS users should they want to use shortcut keys can do so using an alternative method because macros and RMS are done for and you cannot change that.

I know this is an old thread, but I am having the same issue. RMS 2.0.2000, Windows 8.1, UAC disabled. I am trying to record a simple discount macro. I can record the macro without issue, but when I attempt to play it nothing happens.

could you tell us what you need the macro to accomplish.

Also as a note, use keyboard shortcuts in macros instead of mouse clicks.
