Ledger settlements - penny difference

Hello,

Is there a way to use ledger settlements with the penny-difference amount automatically being posted to a separate account like with AP and AR, instead of having to match debit and credit amounts exactly down to the cent? There is a "Maximum penny difference" parameter in the GL parameters but this doesn't seem to have any effect on ledger settlements.

My parameter Maximum penny difference is set to 1 USD, and I have the setup under Accounts for automatic transactions for Penny difference in accounting currency but when I try to settle transactions with a 0,05 USD difference, I get the following message: The transactions marked for settlement do not balance. The balance amount is -0,05.

We are on version 10.0.30.

    As OOB functionality, there isn't a way to manage this process.

    Hi WeepingAngel,

    Like Billur mentioned, this is not supported in this way. The ledger settlements do expect transactions that are fully balanced. You can manually post the difference in a journal. Then you can settle three transactions (debit, credit and the penny difference).

    You can also consider a customization to automate this process.

    Actually this is a very common need and I did create an idea via idea portal as far as ı remember.
