We've have an enormous sized PROJTRANSPOSTING table. Actually it's the largest table we have in the database.

Does anyone know if there's a standard/front-end way of cleaning up this table? Like with a clean up job of some kind...

We use AX2012R2 CU7.

    Hi neveskiet,

There is no option to clean up this table. The number of transactions is not important. This table is used for analysis purposes between ledger transactions and the project transactions.

Would there be any business requirement to clean up the table? Technically, there should be no issues having large number of transactions if you have proper indexes and database maintenance.

    Andre is right.

    1. You shouldn't 'clean up' this table. All the records here are necessary and shoulddn't be removed.

    2. I can't think of any reason why you would want to do this.

We have about 16 million records in our PROJTRANSPOSTING table but they are ALL necessary.

We use that table to reconcile our General Ledger to Project Subledger.

Thank you guys for your helpful response. We will have to do some index maintenance then to reduce the overall size.
