I would like to know how much time it takes to create the user in the Microsoft dynamics AX.
User must have only one option i.e creating PDC receivale Payable Journal in Accounts receivable.
As per our IT team it take 2 days of time.

Creating a user is very easy; the more complicated part may be identifying right permissions to assign to the user group. It's not only about access to a single the menu item, but also to appropriate tables, related forms if needed and so on. Plus testing.
It won't take 16 hours of work, but depending on how busy they're, it may take two days before they find time to do it.

I agree with Martin. The creation of the user and the attachment to the worker won't take too much time, depending on whether the user already exists on Active Directory or not. But creating a user group, potential row level security, etc, will require some research and testing. So, the two days, including some of the hold ups caused by handover from development to test, sounds not unrealistic.
