Hi,
How do you import serial numbers for items into Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations Business Edition?
Currently there isn't a way to import numbers into the system you would need to manually enter the quantity for the item and then enter the serial numbers. This is something we can look at adding to the list of suggestions for a future enhancement.

Thanks for getting back to me. If this could get added to the list of future enhancements, that would be great. We have customers that have a couple thousand serialized items on hand in their current system. This will make it very labor intensive to migrate.
Mark, I will make sure it gets added to the suggestion list. Putting it in the list also lets others vote on it which helps us track the number of people looking for that functionality!

Rapid Start Configuration Packages now have all tables and fields available to bring data into the system. If you are wanting specific serial numbers you might need to bring the transactions in with Rapid start and then modify the item journal using edit with excel to change the serial numbers.
