User approval - self approving

We have journal approval workflow set up for our company, this has been working fine until recently when the journal batch is sent for approval, the user gets notified that the journals is approved. I can not see how to fix this as there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the workflow.

If you check Approval User Setup is the user submitting the document have the Admin checkbox checked?

Hi, yes, I agree with Andy, please check if Approval Administrator in Approval User Setup is selected.

Hey, thanks both for your response, it was selected but not against the user sending the journal for approval. We have the workflow setup on another company with no issues and setup appears the same

we have now resolved this by deleting out the workflow and importing again.
