Auto-save problems in "record list" in the new Unified Interface

In the old legacy web version, you could use the "up and down" carrots to move through a list of records. I like in the new UI, it shows the list of records to the left of the record being viewed - this is an incredible improvement. However, when we are working on the open record, if we change it and leave it open, it will auto-save and when it autosaves the list of other records closes. We don't want to turn off autosave, but it would really nice to work make changes on a record, save it, and not have the list of records off to the left collapse. I hope this makes sense. Any thoughts on if this problem can be solved?

Are you talking about this button? Onclick will show the record list view.

After autosave, this button is missing.

I can also repro it. This looks a UI defect of D365 Product. I suggest you to raise a support ticket to Microsoft.

What is the version of your environment?

I tested on a couple of online environments with server versions 9.1.0000.18647 and 9.1.0000.19232.

The recordset (list) window does not close when the autosave occurs.

I am using Server version: 9.1.0000.18647

Strangely enough, the record set window closes on the Appointment entity when I save or autosave a record. It's not happening for other entities. I do have javascript firing "onOpen" of the Appointment form, so not sure if this has anything to do with it. I will raise a ticket with MS.

Appointment entity is a bit special and by default, it refreshes upon record save due to the Scheduling Engine. I guess the recordset window closes onSave because of the page refresh. (unlike other normal forms which refresh the fields on the form)

You can read more about it on my blog and scheduling alerts are not necessary for the business, you can ask for the FCB.Editor tool from the support engineer to disable it.
