Hi, As far as I know, this cannot be done because, unlike other journals, there is no No. Series field in Cost Journal Batch (1102). This needs to be customized if you need it.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    Hi Daniele

    Thank you for the reply!

Sadly I do not have the following fields:

In the "Number Series" window, select "Journal" in the "Module" field and "Cost Journal" in the "Code" field.

Open the "Cost Journal" page in Business Central and select the "Process" tab.

    Why could this be ?

    hi

it is possible to add a number series to the cost journal in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. However, the process for adding a number series to the cost journal is slightly different than for other journals.

To add a number series to the cost journal, you will need to follow these steps:

Open the "Number Series" page in Business Central by searching for "Number Series" in the search bar.

On the "Number Series" page, select the "New" button to create a new number series.

In the "Number Series" window, select "Journal" in the "Module" field and "Cost Journal" in the "Code" field.

Enter a description for the number series in the "Description" field.

In the "Segmented Key" section, you can define the format of the number series. For example, you can choose to have a prefix or suffix added to the number series.

Once you have defined the format of the number series, select the "Save and Close" button to save the number series.

Open the "Cost Journal" page in Business Central and select the "Process" tab.

On the "Process" tab, select "Number Series" and then select the number series you just created.

Save the changes to the cost journal.

After completing these steps, the cost journal will use the number series you have defined. You can then use the number series to assign unique numbers to each entry in the cost journal.
