CRM 2011 - Issue - ONE User is getting Unhandled Exception Error

Greetings, We have an installation of CRM 2011 on premise with about 75 active users.

One user (and just one user), is continuity getting an System.Web.HttpUnhandledException error when accessing:

Settings > Customization > Customize the System

As well, they get this error when attempting to view custom entities.

This user has the EXACT same permission as I do. The differences are: he is using the Microsoft Service 2 with IE 11

There are other users that use CRM daily with IE 11 and have NOT experienced this issue.

Does anyone have a resolve for this that DOES NOT REQUIRE CODING, CRM out-of-the-box should be working in this case.

Service 2?  What update rollup at you on?  Does putting the IE 11 browser into compatibility mode for the CRM URL fix anything?

    Issue has been resolved:

In internet Explorer 11: the “Intranet” settings were not defined. The setting “Automatically Intranet Network” was not properly capturing our intranet setting for CRM.

Manually defining the site allowed the user to use CRM again without error.

I have a similar error message also for ONE user running IE 11 on Windows 7 Service Pack 1 when trying to access any account record. The Full stack trace returned is shown below. I tried going to settings > Internet Options > Security > Local intranet > Sites > advanced > and added the URL for the CRM 2011 local server and saved and exited IE. When I go back in I still get the below message.  Any advise to clear out the error and getting working again for this user?

    Error Details:

Exception of type 'System.Web.HttpUnhandledException' was thrown.

Putting IE 11 into compatibility mode for the CRM URL fixed the issue for me. Thanks for pointing me further in the right direction.
