Will Microsoft GP ERP work for my company?

Hello,

I work for a small business that designs and builds custom trade show and retail displays, and we are looking for a ERP solution that will work for us. We have struggled in the past to find an ERP solution that works well for us because most often each job is unique due to the custom nature of our product. We need an ERP software that will allow us to create work orders and design requests, as well as, keep track of our inventory and our human capital. Is Microsoft GP easily customized? Is it likely it could be catered to the needs of our industry or are we better of with a completely custom software solution?

Hi Brian. The answer depends on what your requirements are. It doesn't matter how customizable your products are, you'll always have raw material that you can count, measure and consume. Maybe you only need Bill of Materials and not the Advanced Manufacturing module. With the right tools and knowledge, GP can be customized to fulfill most of business models, plus there are several third-party apps that integrate with GP. I recommend you get in touch with a GP partner, this way you'll have the answer you're looking for directly from the experts.

I second what Angel has stated! There are a lot of variables to consider! A certified Microsoft partner for Dynamics is your safest bet.
