Dynamics GP 2016 Reports 2 different version numbers

Hi, quick question.  Noticed something on Dynamics GP 2016 that the displayed version number on the logon window doesn't match the version reported as installed in the registry, apps & features or through our IT Asset Management software Lansweeper. It's always 1 revision higher.  For example, installing the Year End update service pack MicrosoftDynamicsGP16-KB4569476-ENU.msp, the version number reported on the download page is 16.00.0864.  The version shown on the login window on each client and in the version information in help/about is 16.00.0864.  But all the registry entries and the version listed under app and features shows 16.00.0865.  Same thing with the previous version, the displayed version was 814, but showed up in registry and lansweeper as 815.

Simple question, why don't these match?

    Looking at my 16.00.0864 install of Dynamics GP, in the login window it shows this version, as it does under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Business Solutions\Great Plains\v16.0\1033\DEFAULT\SETUP, for the 'Version' value in the Registry. I didn't see a 'DisplayVersion' value.

    In Control Panel > Programs and Features, it shows 16.00.0865.000, which I believe is the 'Install' version of Dynamics GP, not the actual version that we look at nor what is listed in the DB_Upgrade or DU000020 tables, nor the version of the DEX.DIC which has its own version as well.

    Normally, they won't match, as you're seeing and that is normal.

    I'm not sure as to why.

    Thanks Derek for confirming that this is normal.  One of the registry keys where the display version is listed is at:

    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\5124F286255EB164986636EA7E1FB050\InstallProperties
