Hi,

We desperately need a 'Date of Last Email' field on the Company.

Initially I tried to use a rollup field over 'Email Messages (Regarding)'. This only works for emails that have the company in the 'Regarding' field on the email.

There are many emails that are visible on the Activities Social Pane which are not set as regarding this company. They have been tracked to a person who works for this company. There seems to be no way to capture these emails in a "Date of Last Email" type of field.

Is there any way to capture this?

Hi,

all those email fields (to, from, cc, bcc) are party lists, so I'm not sure you'll be able to do anything with them in the conditions etc.

If you want to update "last email field" on the account entity any time that account shows up in one of those fields, I think you may need a custom workflow activity/plugin.

Hi,

you can create a workflow/plugin which

1) check if the "To" filed value is a contact, account or something else

if Account: update the account field 'Date of Last Email' to today

if Contact: retrieve the parent Account then update the account field 'Date of Last Email' to today

else do nothing
