Job Queue won't run for certain users

Good Afternoon-

I have a client running BC 13.  Some users are sending reports to the Scheduler, but they never run.  They show up in the Job Queue Entries, but the field called 'Scheduled' always says No.  There is no Log Entry or Error shown.  If I go in as a super user, I can click on Restart and then their reports go into their Report Inbox.

I'm assuming this may be a permissions issue, but they get no permission error to give me a clue as to what they need.  Any help would be appreciated here.

Thanks!

Diane

Thanks for the info.  However, none of the scenarios on that link seem to match my current issue.

    Hi

I used to see similar behavior in our system. I checked with users and they always said they were not aware that they scheduled a report. Looks like sometimes they go there by mistake (report -> send to -> schedule) but they do not finish the schedule. This could not be the case in your company. Are you sure those user actively scheduled those reports? If yes can you watch one of them do that and then see the result in job queue?

    Thanks

Hi, I think first you can try to give these users Super permissions, and then test again, if there is no problem, it may be a permissions problem.

Also, is it possible that they didn't set the Next Run Date Formula in Schedule a Report page?

PS: BC13 was end of life, it is recommended to upgrade to BC14 and test it again.

    Hope this info helps.

    Diane,

Job Queues should be run by a Licensed User. I normally create a User who will run the Job Queue and make them a Super User. Then on the Job Queue I restart using this User, logged in. Try logging in as this User and the go to the Job Queue and restart and make sure it is running at the correct recurring interval.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve
