Here's the scenario -- client has 4 businesses with a shared services team that handles payroll/hr/etc for all the 4 companies. They have a shared mailbox setup in Office365 that has the primary email (hr@company.com) and 3 aliases (hr@othercompany.com, hr@business.com, hr@somethingelse.com). When they send from Outlook, they can select the outbound alias to use, so this is supported by Office365, however in Business Central, when they configure the shared mailbox for outbound sending, all emails appeaer to come only from the primary email address (hr@company.com).
We're trying to avoid a situation where we have to license and configure individual mailboxes for each of these, so we're hoping somebody has run into this and has a workaround or suggestion that might work.
It is important for the outbound messages to show the correct alias so the recipient knows which company the email is representing, so using inbound distribution lists is not really an option.
Any ideas/suggestions on this one?
Thanks!
