How to do a Mass price increase

IE.  Performing a mass price increase with a % of "LIST PRICE"

before performing task  list price = 100%

when performing 10% increase to list price- the list price then appears as "110%"  but should be 100% always?

    RE: Mass Price Increase

    Hi,

So, it sounds like you are trying to change the list price of the item, not the sales price. Your method of calculation is a percent of list price and you want the list price to be higher, not the percentage.

I think you are going to need to use SQL as initially suggested because I am not aware of a utility that will change the base (list) price for you.

I'd never thought about this, but it seems like it would be obvious. You might look at OmniPrice from Rockton Software or Advanced Pricing from Microsoft. I've not looked for a solution for this, but it might be worth a look vs making a strong-arm decision using SQL.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

You can use SQL to change pricing on the database side if you're familiar with SQL and GP tables.  Or if you have eOne's smartconnect tool you can update the pricing in excel and upload the data into GP.

Sorry but this does not work as explained above.  I need a solution.  The % changes causes the % to go up not the retail price.  You should never adjust your retail price or list price above 100%.

Tools->Utilities->Inventory->Price List Utilities will get you to the price list utility screen where you will find multiple ways to increase prices as well as filter which items the price change affects.
