Hello folks! Need some help with adding the expiry date to the standard template above. I have grabbed it from the Assembly Serial Lot table and put it in the body with the Serial/Lot Number & Qty.

The expiration date still will not show up on the report. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Melissa,

This is Andrea, and I’ll assist with your question today.

I added the expiration date to the BM Assembly Posting Journal from the Assembly Serial Lot table just like you did, and the expiration date does show for me on this report:

All in all, it’ looks like you’re on the right track!

I’d suggest you double check to ensure you’ve got a lot numbered item on the report that has been assigned an expiration date (check the IV00300 table to verify what the expiration date is), and that you’ve granted access to the modified report to the user id you’re logged in as when you print it. You can double check this by doing the following:

Click on Microsoft Dynamics GP >> Tools >> Setup >> System >> User Security.

Choose the User ID you are logged in as, and the company you’re logged into.

Click on the ‘Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports ID’ link at the bottom of the window.

In the Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports ID window:

Product = Microsoft Dynamics GP

Series = Inventory

Type = Reports

Expand the Inventory folder

Expand the BM Assembly Posting Journal

Make sure you’ve got the modified version of this report selected and save your changes.

Thank you so much for the response and the details. Unfortunately, we are using the standard report and not a word template. With that said any advice on the formatting of the field brought over that I may be missing or need to fix?

Please disregard my earlier response. It turns out the permissions of the modified report was not set to be used in our system. That was changed the expiry date is showing as intended.
