Problem with the size of the To field in CRM Email form

Hi everyone

We use CRM 2016 SP1 on-premise. We are experiencing an issue with the size of the To field of the built-in email View form whereby the field only displays up to three lines of email addresses and truncates the rest.

I know that I can click the list and scroll it in the Edit form, but this is not an option in the View form.

Is there any way to get the To field to expand/scroll in the View form?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Seemorgh,

I have used this a lot and we never really had a resolution for this either.

As far as I know this is not possible in read-only mode. There might be some workarounds such as Web Resources, custom fields, etc..., but non of them are Out of the Box.

Maybe something to post on the dynamics ideas web site as feature request/bug/enhancement...

Hi Seemorgh,

maybe there is an OOB solution, however if you dont want to lose time the best approach is to write a plugin which loop over all records in to fields, get every email (and, if you need, firstname, lastname, account name and so on), and write it down to a new text attribute with newline.

Is not OOB but it works ...

Guillaume, thanks for your answer. What I originally meant was to be able to expand the To field in the View (ready only) form when I go to open an existing email record. Currently the only way to see all email addresses is to click the Reply All button on the View form and scroll through the list in the Edit form.

Syed, Thanks for your response. I have seen that page before. I don't want to increase the size of the To field by some lines. Instead, I need to make it auto expand so that it shows all email addresses. I tried the advice in this page https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg327846.aspx and set the parent row element to height="auto" but it made no difference.

Hi,

an OOTB possibility is to click on the "To" lookup field, then click on search for more records.

Finally you will see the all list of customers and can remove them(see image below)
