Hi

I have a custom entity related to contact, when a contact is created a record is also created in the custom record for that contact. This works fine.

When the address, name or date of birth changes on the contact, i have a workflow to update my custom related record. However i keep gettings this error "A record required by this process could not be found." and cannot work it out.

Get the same same error for a workflow which sets the status to active or inactive when the contact status changes.

Any ideas what could cause this? everything seems normal to me.

    Can you please provide screenshot of the workflow?

    How are you identifying the child record for contact to be updated? Usually child record in 1:N so I am wondering how are you narrowing down to one child.

    Thanks for the reply, i have been doing some reading up on this and i think i need to use a workflow activity called "Distributed workflow tool" ? never used that before but will give it a try.

    I managed to fix this by placing a lookup field to the child on the parent entity form.
