Dear All,
I am in process of setting up Workflow Setup for Sharepoint and wanted to know what is location to be given for Microsoft Dynamics Workflow Location as well as SharePoint Location on the Workflow Setup for Sharepoint window. Following is my question
Microsoft Dynamics Workflow Location : http://<ServerName>/_vti_bin/WorkflowService.asmx ( do I have to do any other installation)
SharePoint Location : Can I use the URL which is used in Report Server URL under Tools-Setup-System-Reporting Tools Setup.
I am on Dynamics GP 2013 R2

Hi Babu,
Hope you are good, I think this is was too late. can you guide me how to do this from scratch?
Hi Elie,
So you don't wanted to use new workflow 2.0 can you please confirm whether you have not activated this. You will find this under - Tools > Setup > System > Workflow Setup.
Also have you done the setup for workflow setup for Sharepoint under - Tools > Setup > Workflow for SharePoint path
HI Babu,
Thank you for your reply. i am using GP2013 R2 but i need to use Sharepoint workflow.
I already activate it the sharepoint workflow in administration setup. The Web is working properly but the workflow History pane in GP is not working.
your feedback is apprecitaed.
Hi Elie,
If you are using GP 2013 R2 or GP 2015 workflow of it and there is no need for sharepoint at all. All you have to do is enable workflow email and do the setup maintenance of workflow. Once you do all these, you can start using workflow approval process.
Dears,
I am facing the same issue. I am using sharepoint foundation 2010 business portal and workflow. we activated a PO workflow but the history workflow pane and the submit button are not appearing on the PO Entry Window taking into consideration the workflow for sharepoint is enabled in GP administration setup.
your feedback is highly appreciated.
That is correct Babu.
Hi Frank,
So if the webservices is installed correctly and approver can click the link which says approve which in turn will approve either PO or Purchase requisition. Please let me know whether my understanding is correct.
Babu, login to GP is not necessary to approve. Approvals are processed from within the email notification via a GP Web Services server that is deployed as part of the workflow setup in GP.
Hi Frank,
So just to be sure email functionality is only for sending email for the manager to notify to get it approval and user who will get once its approved. And approval can be done only by login to GP. Also can you please confirm light users is enough to login to GP for both approval and put requisition. Since the business portal there is no limit on users but GP extra license required in order to users login and make request.
You are correct Bill. No SharePoint involved whatsoever for GP 2013 R2 and GP 2015 workflow. Native GP workflow provides the email functionality for approvals from non-GP users.
