User can not get available company any more for log in NAV

I have one user who is not able to log in any more. On the same machine other people can log in though. When I click on no the it shows on the top field servername:7050/DynamicsNAV80, but I can not bring it down to the lower section i.e. available company. He had two permission sets Super and Basic, the Basic was removed but was added again. Still no change. What should I do.

Thanks,

    Hi Manish,

Thank you for taking this. I do not see any company in list. Both the roles did not show anything in the company field. I am attaching the screen shot below here.

    Thanks2541.Capture4.JPG

A specific company in permissions is used if you want to assign this permission only to that company. Leaving it blank is for all companies.

    Hi Stefano,

Thanks. Yes, that's exactly how I understand as well. So since it is blank, then why is he not getting the company (any) available during log in? Is there anything else I am missing for his account? He used to be able to before. I had removed the the line which had the Basic role, (since I thought that the Super role with blank company should allow him to all companies). I since then did add the line with Basic (and blank company field) and still no change.

    What else should I do?

    Thanks

A user with only the standard SUPER role must have access to NAV. Are you using Windows Authentication? Is the user accessing NAV under the correct user account? Do you have an error message? Have you checked Event Viewer?

    Hi,

Yes it is a windows authentication. It is a domain account. He does have a desktop of his own though. But right now I am remotely (RDP) logging to the server (NAV & SQL Express on the same 2012 R2 server). When I log in to server myself then NAV opens without any issue. And when I RDP as the user, then try to start NAV, I am getting the error as below  Numner1 and when I hit on No I am getting the screen shot at Number2.

Hope this helps to figure out my problem. Which Log I should check?

    Number 1.

    Number2.

This error is related to a problem on reaching the NAV server (a permission problem has a different error message).

In the second screenshot, have you try to insert the correct address and press enter? Can you ping server name from that machine when connected as the user?

    Yes, I can ping.

I can not insert the text (in the 2nd screen) in the lower section. Is there a way I can tell (from my login ) the connection string/url? May be I can type that when I log in as him.

    Thanks,

I also wanted to point out that if I do remote desktop as him and try to log in to NAV2015 'as a different user' I can log in as me.

On the other other hand if I RDP as me (while I am ok as myself) I still can not lg in with his id doing 'as a different user'

    Hope this helps
