Form header table value update

Hello,

What would be the best method to write a code to update one of the fields of header table based on several lines?

For example, when form is opened, I want to check if one of the lines have specific type and if it has, then I want to update one field on Header.

    I don't think it makes sense to trigger such code when the form is opened. Because then your data consistency would depend on opening of this form, and not the data of your lines.

    Instead, you should update the header field when a line is inserted or updated, and your criteria is met.

    Or, perhaps even better, write a display method on your header table. This method will return a value that is based on the data on the lines. Then add a display field in your form, to show this data. This way you don't need to maintain this information in the header table.
