Mobile device latency

Hi DAx Experts ,

AX 2012 R3 CU10

As you aware ,Mobile device has different functions such as receipt , pick ,ship ,move , transfer ,count. The issue is that some times business users raise concerns that some specific operations would take more time around 2mins to 10 mins to complete that function via mobile device . Ideally it should take 10 secs only .

In order to replicate the same , the same has been tried from Application mobile portal ,but , the same function took 10-15 secs on Application mobile portal .

Please advise if you have come across this situation and what is the solution? How to track which is causing latency on Mobile device ?

    Hi Sri,

    First of all, you can have a look at the latest available Cumulative Update as there might be performance improvements in this area. On the same version you are running, we had seen issues as well. At that time we found out that completing the work will also post it synchronous. So the user should wait for the system to post e.g. a packing slip. We customized some parts to have work completed, but a batch thread did the actual posting.

    Also do some measurements if there is a lack on hardware resources or maybe long running queries which should be optimized.

    Base on your description, there should be no issue with the network. Did this issue happen on all the mobile devices? And is this issue always able to be reproduced on the specified operations?
