The source code is available - you can download it for free:

    www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

Whatever that link is, it does not apply to the released source code. After all, what's available for download is called "Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Portals Source Code" - not Adx Studio (from the licensing standpoint, there is a difference. From the source code standpoint, I'm not sure how much difference there is)

Thanks Marti and CRM Practitioner for your response. Much appreciated.

Regarding licenses, if source code is available for free then not sure what pricing options are mentioned in this link:

    www.adxstudio.com/.../pricing-licensing-guide

I believe support for Adxstudio will be available till Oct 2018 but there will not be any fixes and upgrades, not sure if this is correct, link below:

I did go through these links earlier but thought of taking your views.

    Thanks

    1) It seems to be free the closed source 7.x version. Please check with Microsoft to be sure

    2) I believe the cost per ticket

    3) Already available for download. However, it only works with CRM 2016 and Dynamics 365

    Hi Bharat,

See the previous post. You can download the open source version. It's free, but please check the license to be sure.

It's not supported by Microsoft and it is provided as is. You do have the source code and all the options to fix things.

    Regards,

    Martijn

Hello Marti, Greetings, it will helpful if you can share your thoughts on the below.

Current version of Adxtstudio, which is 7.0.0025, can be downloaded for Dynamics 365 on-premise instance then:

    1) Is there any licensing fee or it is free for anyone to use for D365 on-prem?

    2) Will Microsoft support the current version 7.0.0025 till October 2018? How is the support provided by Microsoft, any cost for creating a support case?

    3) Newer version 8 (last version) will be available somewhere around October 2018 and that will not be supported by Microsoft, is this understanding correct?

    Thanks and appreciated.

+1 for Alex and also the company who created ADX Studio will be also releasing Open Source version of the portals, which is xRM Portal Community Edition, which will have the support from them and the community and you will be able to install it on-prem

It's not exactly discontinued, but you cannot purchase an on-prem license. There will be a one-time release of the source code, though:

    https://roadmap.dynamics.com/

(Look under the portals, what's new)

For the online customers, there are still portals.

Has ADX been completely discontinued by MS and now only available as Open Source? Is there any official Microsoft product that replaces it?

No it doesn't seem to be.

    - the online version is actively developed and has the focus for now

    - the onpremises version is still fully supported and available for purchase. It has less focus, but will likely receive updates in the future

    RE: AdxStudio Discontinued

    Hello Juan,

Some important Pointers that we can note of this Aquisition mentioned in this blog of Adxportal: www.adxstudio.com/.../adxstudio-acquired-by-microsoft

As part of this transition Adxstudio Inc. will be spinning off their professional services division to form a new company, Adoxio Business Solutions.

Over the next weeks we’ll be transitioning our services business to Adoxio Business Solutions. This transition will be done without any disruption to our customers. The name has changed but it’s the same team you trust to deliver your Adxstudio Portals projects. This team remains one of the most competent Microsoft partners in delivering CRM web portal solutions.

We look forward to accelerating the customer engagement capabilities as a unified team and delivering on an integrated vision with Microsoft.

    Thanks,
