When the Accounts Summary smart list is opened in EXCEL through a ODBC link, the ACCOUNT CATEGORY NUMBER shown is different from the ACCOUNT CATEGORY NUMBER shown when you open the Smart list in GP.
Actually, the category numbers shown on the ODBC link is not entered in any master in the GP. System throwing some new names.
Do you have any idea as why this is happening?

Did you modify the original account categories? Can you post examples of values in the smartlist and their corresponding value when you get at the data through ODBC?

Are you getting an actual number? Check out the GL00102 Table, this stores the Account Categories. It has the Number, Description and DEX ROW ID
