update transactions in NAV

I am trying to integrate NAV with our internal system and for which i need to update certain information back to NAV tables. To start with i have tried using page web services to update certain transaction tables, which was not successful. The page service i am trying is for purchase orders. So i am looking for help in updating the tables in NAV especially the transaction tables.

    Can you please state what kind of problem did you encounter?

    At this page you can find an example of sales order creation and update, which can be applied to purchase orders as well: blogs.msdn.com/.../handling-sales-orders-from-page-based-web-services-in-nav-2009sp1-and-rtm.aspx
