Hello everyone,
I have created a plugin with a step registered on Appointment Create.
It works fine for appointments created on CRM but not running when I try to track an appointment via CRM Outlook client.
What am I missing? Any suggestion?
Many thanks in advance!

Hi Ira,
Actually, Plugin work in outlook when you check "offline" deployment in plugin step.
You have to register same step again and choose deployment "Online" and "Offline" both as shown in below image:
Is this CRM Online or OnPrem?
What is the build of your CRM Server & Outlook Client?
If it is OnPrem, can you enable a set of CRM Platform traces to see what happens? Also to add tracing to your plug-ins you could use the ITracing Service - see docs.microsoft.com/.../use-itracingservice-plugins
Hallo Radu,
The plugin is registered on Create Message, for synchronous execution.
I do not have logs and this happens for all users.
What plugin does is auto populates a field based on some other information found on the record.
Appotiments are created in CRM but the field is not completed and for the same combination of data the fields is populated when I directly create the appointment in CRM.
Thanks!
Hi Ira,
Could you please provide additional details on how the plug-in is registered? Sync, Async, trigger. Do you also have any logging? Does it happen for all users or only some?
Have you checked that the appointment is actually created in CRM? (If you press the View in CRM Button does it open the CRM Activity?)
Usually the Appointment is created in CRM after Outlook synchronizes with CRM, so maybe this is why you are not seeing the plug-in getting triggered immediately?
Hope this helps,
Radu
