Hi All,
Is there any way I can do a real-time integration for small parcel shipping when we close container and sent the shipment details and get the tracking details back from the external system in real time.
An help is highly appreciated.

Everything is possible, but it's all depending on the context. You can use OData integration, use Business Events, or create a custom web service. It's all about scope, requirements, expectations, and technologies at hand.
This depends on the communication options from the external system. You can call an external web service using x++ coding and wait for the response.

Using business events we can definitely send the notification and data to the external system but I am not sure we can get the response from the system using Business Events. Please suggest
What are the capabilities of the external system you are integrating with? Does it have an API of some sort or capabilities to push data to external systems?

It has an API , my scenario goes like the below:
1. While closing a container I need to sent the shipment id and few more details to the external system.
2.External system needs to send back few details like tracking id, labels etc and this needs to be updated in D365. This should happen realtime.
While we can create and entity and expose it using OData but can we trigger the export of data at a specific point like closing container in this instance.

My major query is how do I use Odata to send and receive data. I set the property to ispublic to yes but how do I trigger the send data to external app at a particular instance?
By setting the property to IsPublic you made it available for third-party applications for consumption. In other words, the trigger to consume or perform CRUD operations for this entity should be invoked in the third-party application and not D365 F&O.

But how will the external app know about a process in D365. I need integration to be triggered at the time of closing a container and sending shipment id once we complete the closing.
