Formula activation issue for By-Product concept in AX 2012

In Batch order, While activating the Formula (for by product concept) i am getting the following error.

Kindly guide me in this issue

You need to set the cost allocation of how you want to apportion the burden you have defined in the line.

Hi

Cost allocation field is enable only for COPRODUCT, for BYPRODUCT it is in disable condition. For Byproduct we can define only "Burden" and "Byproduct Burden amount" fields.

Consider debugging the warning message

then may be you will be able to find out what is missing in data setup

please review the code whether you have any customization.

Well looking at the picture you have allocated the cost of the two by-products 100% to the formula; I was thinking of the message as a Co-Product.

I have added similar setups in CU2/3 and no issues - what version are you using? Do you get the issue in Contoso?

Hi,

As per concept of AX you have to maintain at least one Co-Product while using Planing item. And cost allocation percentage for all the Co-Products must be equal to 100%.

Reason : The Planning Item is not a actual FG and can't be stored as inventory. This is used to define output as co-product against which cost has to be allocated in the system for estimation and calculation.
