Not able to get data from the Business Central KPI Finance Report web service (197)

Hi All

I hope somebody has an answer to this or at least a workaround..

When creating a new datasource in PowerBI desktop or Dataflow, and using the Business Central connector i PowerBI:

Then Select the Environment in BC and then Selecting:
Then selecting the table from the KPI Finance Report web service:

and load.

then the table keeps loading until it times out, this is also the case when doing the same via Dataflows in the PowerBI Service.

I've had this issue since the 16. feb 2025.. any idea if any recent BC updates might have affected this?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

    Do you have Telemetry enabled?

If yes you can check error there.

    Did you setup the KPI's?

Also, in Power BI I would not rely on ootb odata web services. Create and use your own Query APIs instead.

    Hi @Steven Renders

Thanks for the response to my post.

i've set up the KPI's and everything worked perfectly until the 16.th of feb 2025 before that i only had some hick-ups with failed Scheduled Refreshed of my Dataflows in PowerBI, because of the KPI web service table not loading propperly, but that was fixed by just loading it manually and then refreshing dataflow.

I've tried both via Odata feed and using the Business Central connector in PowerBI and nothing works.

    @Khushbu Rajvi.

I've already checked and done the necessary setup for the KPI finance reporting and as I mentioned earlier the web service does work, but not the connector nor fetching data from it via PowerBI since somewhere around the 16.th feb 2025.

Hi, I did a simple test and didn't encounter your problem.
It should be a problem with the amount of data. I suggest adding some filtering conditions.

    Thanks.
