Equipment Cost

Hi

I have an equipment serialized and I want to change the cost. What i did is an inventory adjustment to get it out of the inventory at 1000$ and another inventory adjustment to bring it back in the inventory at 500$. The problem I have is that each time i do a transaction on this item (Inventory Transfer) it move the item at 1000$ and after an inventory recalculation it create an adjustment of 500$. Why the cost is still 1000$ each time I do a transaction?

Thanks for your help

    Hi,

Is the item a standard cost item?

If this is not the case how do you ensure that the item is taken out at a price of 1000?

Do you have to track the adjustment in inventory?

Wouldn't a simple GL posting on separate accounts be sufficient?

    Best regards

The item have been taken out at a price higher and the inventory recalculation did the adjustment. after that the price should stay fixed.

Well i don't understand why the recalculation is always carrying the 500$ at each movement.

    Thanks for help

    Hello alzelus,

How is the item model group for this item setup?

Do you make use of fixed receipt prices?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
