PowerObjects - Update a row by ID

Hi There,

I am working on Power Objects Flow that is triggered when a Task/Visit is created. The process itself is simple, but one issue I am running into is that I don't know how to find the Row ID of the Visit that triggered the Flow. Later in the Flow I use a "Update a Row by ID" dataverse connector and I need to insert the triggering Visit's guid into that field, and I don't know how I should go about retrieving it.

Any help or insight would be great, thank you for your time!

Thanks,

Steven

    Hey Steven,

Here is a screenshot of how we would utilize grabbing the GUID of the triggering record and putting it into the Row ID field.

    4135.PA.png

In the top-highlighted box, we renamed the triggering step to Task is Created to make it easier to identify the step.
In the bottom-highlighted box, we searched for Tas in the search box which brought up Task option to select.

When it comes to Power Automate, the Primary Key of the record is the name of the table - in this case Task and the description is Unique identifier of the task.

In the screenshot, you can also see that the searched options are grouped by their originating step, which we can see is Task is Created.

You should be able to rename your triggering step (if not done so already) to make it easier to find the appropriate options, and then using the search you can find the unique identifier for that step, in your case, Task/Visit.

Hopefully this helps and clears up any confusion.
    Thanks!
