Inventory site segment replacement not working on Purchase Orders

We're having this issue where to Inventory site segment replacement not working on Purchase Orders.  We are using segment 1 and we have an account number assigned to the site.  However, when we create a new PO for and item for this site, the account number is not changing as it should.

We have a test company set up, with mostly the same data, and this account replacement DOES work correctly on PO's in the test company.  I've compared setup tables and cannot figure out what's different between the two companies.  The inventory setup window has the same segment shown for each company.

Any ideas?

    Hi Justin,

    Test company was set up and used for testing.  Then when things were working as we wanted, we copied setup tables over to the live database.  Apparently we missed something!

    Hi Deborah,

    Is your test system on a different environment (that is, does it have a different dynamics database)?  Or is your test company making use of the same dynamics database as your live company?  Also is your test company a backup/restore from the live company?

    Are you using the same client/workstation when accessing the test and live companies?

    (I'm asking this in case you are using different workstations and there are addon products that might be impacting your results.

    You could also try checklinks on Inventory Setup and Account Master, and reconciling the account format (Tools - Utilities - System).

    Hi Deborah,

    Does the GL account number exist?  

    Example:  700-1234 might exist

    With the substitution the account should be:  888-1234.  Does 888-1234 exist in Account Maintenance?
