Hi,

I want to ask a general question that which is the best way to develop CRM 2015 plug in?

I know 2 ways to develop.

1.)Using class librarry(C# code).

2.)Using HTML Web Resource.

Is there any other way to develop? If yes, then give me some link for that

Which way is preferable? Can anyone suggest me?

These are very different approaches - plugins are server side and webresources are client side.

If you perform customizations on the client side then any bulk operations via edit multiple, imports or changes via workflows or the SDK will not call these customizations.

    My Friend,

    For writing plugin

    > You can develop plugin directly, create new .net assembly project

    Or

    > You could use Developers Toolkit that comes with SDK, which have templates to write plugin, custom workflow, it makes development easy (For CRM 2015 it is not released but you can use CRM 2013 with CRM 2015)

    Check this: msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh547400(v=crm.6).aspx

By far the best reference for the ways of extending dynamics CRM is the SDK - msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg328235.aspx

    Hope this helps

Download the SDK 2013 developer tool then install.

Open the SDK 2013 folder then go to > Developer Toolkit folder.

    Install the CRM Developer Tool.

Once installed open vs then file > new > project > select Dynamics CRM and then Dynamics CRM Project.

    Connect to your CRM environment.

On the solution add to the project > New Project > Dynamics CRM then select the plugin.

Open CRM Explorer on your visual studio. Select entity right click then Create Plug-in.

    You are welcome :).

As mentioned above, though - the 2015 SDK does not have the Developer Toolkit for some reason.  Even though you're running 2015 you'll need to get the Toolkit from the 2013 SDK.  (Be warned, though, it only seems to work in VS 2010 or 2012, although I've seen pages with guidelines of hacks to get it to work in VS 2013).
