RE: what kind of License will "Web Client user" need ?
Hello,
The fact of having the user configured as a web client only or not is not part of your license, think of licensing in terms of read and write privileges which encompasses three main types (Full user, limited user and self service user)
>> Reference: Dynamics GP 2015 Licensing Guide
Now in all cases, you will have to setup a user form the user maintenance window in Dynamics GP, and the user will have a specific type derived from the chart above. Checking the "web client only" option or not is related to how the user will be using the system, will it use the desktop only, desktop and web client, web client only ?
Consider the example of having all the employees included a specific requisition workflow (so that they can request stationary, services ..etc). You have a considerable number of employees and you won't install the desktop version of Dynamics GP on all machines, so you create "limited users" types for them which are associated with the Active Directory accounts and check the "Web Client User Only" option so that they only can access Dynamics GP from through the web.
Your feedback is highly appreciated,
