integration manager 2010 sp2 stopped working - msvcr90.dll

The environment is a 2008 R2 terminal server 64-bit with MS Office 32-bit installed. Trying to create an integration to import AR transactions - using advanced ODBC excel 12 file. In the source file setup when i select the microsoft excel xlsx driver and select the workbook then select query builder. Get the message integration manager has stopped working. fault module is MSVCR90.dll.

I know this is related to the fact that we have a 64-bit server and 32-bit Office installed. But is there any workaround? The only thing IM is letting me use as a source file are txt and csv files.
