"EMV READY" hardware

I'm getting ready to upgrade hardware and RMS at a site and would like to put in a device that at least has a chance of working when EMV is supported. They are a Mercury merchant and I have a call in to them as well.

I'm trying to avoid having to go back and try to sell them EMV devices a year after everything is replaced.

Thanks,

Rob

Mercury is working with Retail Realm on a EMV addin.  I dont think Retail Realm has released it yet.

The device will be specific to the EMV addin and will need be a certified model for that addin.

Another note is that EMV hardware is specific to the processor, which means if a customer changes processors they most likely will have to replace there EMV hardware.

    Hello Rob,

    Thank you for your question.

The EMV devices we have tested for compatibility with RMS are the the Ingenico iSC 250 and iSC 260 devices, along with the VeriFone MX860 device. It is recommended that you have any environments using these devices upgraded to run the latest RMS hotfix, as may issues with these devices were resolved in hotfixes.

You will need an additional 3rd party plug in to make full use of the devices' Chip & PIN functionality, and both Mercury Payment and Retail Realm have such add-in available.

    Thank you,

    Hi,

Is there any RMS compatibility with the MagTek DynaPro?

Also, does anyone know if Mercury Payment supports the MagTek DynaPro?

If not, which device do they currently recommend for their add-in?

    Thanks,

    Shawn

    Thanks Guys!

I have been in touch with Retail Realm and Mercury about this and have 2 VeriFone VX-805's on their way to me to install next week. They will operate as normal and when they are ready there will be several more steps to go through to process EMV.

This was from the implementation specialist at Mercury

"Retail Realm is writing the integration with RMS/EMV.  The VX805 will be the first terminal released and the iSC250 should be released Dec/Jan.  Retail Realm should be sending me the software to test next week.  If all goes well we will be able to start pushing the VX805 in the next few weeks."

I will post back with the progress

    Hi Scott.

I am working on ISC 250(Tsys).

what UIA version do I have to use for RMS 2.0.2011?

I have UIA v9.0.2.3023 with Telium SDK v9.16.0.

When I press "enter" button on isc250 after I signed.

RMS does not display customer's signature.

    is it the version issue?

    Hi Scott,

Is there any update on the EMV devices that have been tested for compatibility?

    Thanks!

    Katie
