HI,

I am a beginner in Dynamcis and I want to know how can I removed any plugin from the system.

Also, is it possible to know who is using it from our staff?

Thanks

    Hi sas123,

Can you elaborate? What exact plugins are you referring to? Or are you referring to the complete HR module? Please provide some background information. Then we might be able to understand your question.

    Thanks for your respond.

We purchased a module from a 3rd party and we want to remove it but I am not sure how that will be done as I am a beginner in this.

    Hi Sas123,

To know if anyone was using the add-on, you can open the element usage log (System administration > Inquiries > System). Then try to find the layer and menu items for this add on to get some information.

Also, you can look into the security who actually has access to the HR features. To know what would be the impact, you can create a copy of the environment and remove the model(s) belonging to this ISV solution. Then you would be able to see if you can do all daily work without this add-on.

The safest way is to simply disable the configuration keys (in License configuration form in System administration module) for this module. Of course you should first verify this in test environment.

You can also uninstall models (code) of this module but if you do that, you need to verify the process first in a development environment. Then remove the models from test environment, and finally from prod.

For the removal from production environment, the safest way is to use a separate staging environment (like in all prod releases), remove the models there and then do a modelstore delivery to production.
