I have downloaded the AX7 preview VHD and created in local server. It is working fine. I have created trial office 365 account. It may expire in 30 days. Is Office 365 account required for access AX7 in local VHD?

Yes the local VHD does require an O365 account linked to a Dynamics AX offer and must be connected to an external network for authorization.

Actually no :)

There is "Admin provision utility" to make your office365 account as an admin in AX however, I was able to run AX from visual studio and work without any account

1) Open VS as admin (using right click on shortcut)

2) Go to AOT find any form you like, e.g. CustTable

3) Right click on it -> Add to new project. That should create you new project and new solution.

4) In your project right click on CustTable form -> Set as startup object

5) Go to Debug -> Start without debugging

This should open you customers form in AX using Admin account

be aware that working without authorized tenant, may be treated illegal, though supported by anyway.
