How to add a vendoritemnumber through web service

I'm using Dynamics GP 10 and the webservice. I am creating a purchase order app that will allow adding an item to the purchase order, select the vendor, add purchaseorderline etc. The issue I have is that I get an error that there is no vendoritemnumber. This is because I have just added through integration manager all of the vendors, and items from an older system. That system has no vendoritemnumber connection. So I basically need to create it on the fly. But it errors out every time.

Hi,

How you handled when Item is not assigned to specific site when you create PO? I faced same propblem while receiving PO using Dynamics GP WebService where PO can received to different site other than assigned in PO.

Created custom webServices to add Item to that site. I will recommend you to do same thing while creating PO find item is assign to that Vendor or not and then created it.

You need to find table/storeproc to insert record into VendorItem Table.
