Power BI Dashboards Row Limitations

Hello,

I tried to design a dashboard to display products, the SOH of each and Sales amount for a certain period for each of our stores in a matrix (Cross tab View) ..

The dashboard is working well on testing environment but on Production it keeps displaying the message ( Cannot load data for this visual, the result set  has exceeded the maximum allowed limit of 1000000 rows)

Tried to make some filters with no luck .. we have Power BI Pro and we do not intend to purchase the premium

Any thoughts will be appreciated

    Hi Suha,

    The OData endpoints could be challenging to work with as certain limitations arose when performing data ingest for millions of records, and it also will put a burden on the production Dynamic system.

    Check this blog about using DirectQuery to connect to BYOD.

    You should not use the OData connection for large data volumes. Instead you should export data to BYODB (Azure SQL) or Azure Data Lake and build your reports on top of that.
